Project Description: The Ifakara Health Institute will work with the University of California One Health Institute and the leading implementing partner in Tanzania, Together, this team will conduct the activities necessary to achieve the objectives and specific aims as outlined in this Scope of Work including, Longitudinal monitoring of CCHFV and henipavirus prevalence among arthropod vectors, domesticated livestock, wildlife (e.g., rodents, bats, birds, and other species as needed), and humans at select high-risk interfaces; working with other... The Ifakara Health Institute will work with the University of California One Health Institute and the leading implementing partner in Tanzania, Together, this team will conduct the activities necessary to achieve the objectives and specific aims as outlined in this Scope of Work including, Longitudinal monitoring of CCHFV and henipavirus prevalence among arthropod vectors, domesticated livestock, wildlife (e.g., rodents, bats, birds, and other species as needed), and humans at select high-risk interfaces; working with other partners to integrate and harmonize wildlife and human surveillance and sampling strategies across multiple countries; Assist jn the assessment of field deployable diagnostic technologies for CCHFV and potentially other emerging zoonotic diseases; Assist with data generation to further parameterize ecological and epidemiological models to estimate CCHFV and Henipavirus exposure risk in Tanzania.
